On Saturday night we headed over to North Bellmore to watch the Nassau County Fire Department parade. It was hosted at North Bellmore Fire Department. They also had a carnival at the school and a band and booths with food and clothing. Grandpa was marching in the parade and Grandma was selling t-shirts at the booth. We were able to park at Grandma's and Grandpa's house. We walked over to see Grandma before the parade. She bought the girls puppies. North Bellmore fire department turns 100 this year so the stuffed animals had ribbons that marked this special occassion!
Here we are waiting for the parade to start. Bill bought the girls blow up dolls of Dora and Homer Simpson! (the girls love to watch the Simpsons!)
There was a lady sitting next to us who was so nice and she said we were so cute and if we wanted her to take our picture. What a nice person! She even got up and stood away from the kids when she smoked her cigarette! There are still nice people out there!
Here comes North Bellmore Fire Department
There's Papa, they lined him up right behind the tallest person :)
He saw us right away and the girls were so happy to see him!

Then he came to sit with us to watch the parade!

Carolina and Elena loved the bands that were playing and would dance to the music

Papa was sweating in his uniform and quickly changed out of the shirt to get confortable

The parade was very long, we left before we were able to see all the departments pass by. We saw our neighbor who we are good friends with. He was marching with the Lynbrook FD, which is where they are from. He saw us and waved!

The girls had a blast watching all the trucks go by! Considering we were there for almost 3 hours they were very well behaved! Thank god!!
